Mike, Caleb, and Cullen,
First of all, we want to thank you for taking such great care of Star her first few months! She is obviously a healthy, well cared for puppy. We prayed to find the right dog to add to the family, and I trust our pray has been answered!
Star is beautiful and sweet, rambunctious and playful! We are so enjoying getting to know her as she becomes part of our family. She and Ben are getting along well, romping around like Star did with her siblings. Ben is teaching her to play his favorite game, chase! They are even eating from there own food bowls, side by side, without any problem. Learning to respect each others treats is taking time, but we are helping them along in that:)
One thing we realized we forgot to ask about was her sleeping habits. We pulled out Ben's old crate to see if she would feel safe being in it overnight and while we are gone (until we can trust her to not do what all puppies do, chew on everything!) She climbed right in and laid down! She has easily gone in it to sleep at night and even goes there to nap during the day on her own. She's been sleeping all night long, too, without whimpering or anything. She has had an accident in the house, but we were upstairs and I think she just didn't know how to get outside in time! Other than that, the yard has been hers! We are very proud of her.
Star's favorite thing has been chewing rawhide! She has shed three or four baby teeth doing so over the past few days! She has also enjoyed lots of lap time, playing with squeaky toys, walking in the woods, and finding various cozy places about the house to layout in for a nap! She has learned to not be spooked by the neighbor dogs, becoming more and more comfortable each day. Every new sound or action seems to draw her attention for investigation! With each day, she becomes more comfortable around the house. She is making a great transition!
We also enjoyed spending time with you all and the puppies Friday night. What a wonderful hobby you share! We hope the puppies all find there forever homes, as Star has. Kyle says our family is now complete! Thank you, again! We'll keep in touch and send pictures as she grows!
Sincerely,Kevin, Lisa, Kyle, Ben, & Star

Don't be silly You are not a pest at all. I was just thinking this afternoon I was going to email you an update, so great minds think alike.
Sadie is doing wonderful it seems like she has always been a part of our family. I would say we are 50% potty trained and she will come when she is called about 80% of the time She is very smart. My son calls her his little princess and Sadie looks for him whenever he is not home. She has adjusted remarkably well. I cannot believe with her being as young as she was how good she adjusted to us. She loves Peanut and he loves her They can be found pulling on either end of a toy quite often. She likes to pull him around by his facial hair and he is very tolerant of her doing this. She is a very good girl and we all love her very much. I have attached a few pics of her we took today. Hope you enjoy.

We have had Margot home for only an hour, but you would think she's been her for weeks. She has already assimilated to her new pack. Thank you for taking such good care of your dogs.

Hi Mike:
Thank you for your prayers! They were truly answered ~ David and I had a most uneventful drive. Pippy and Leah played for about thirty minutes but were sleeping before we got to NC. That was pretty much the drive from there on, we stopped every few hours to play and they didn't have any accidents! We dropped Pippy off at Renee's and then headed to our house.
I must say that Leah is the most lovely and well behaved puppy I have ever met! We really love her! I think she really loved your farm and your family so the change has been hard on her. All the cars, people in the city, and strange noises have really been stressful. We have been worried about her but everyday she seems to be perking up more and more. She didn't seem scared on her walks today and right now she is conked out on the couch beside us.
I talked with Renee today and Pippy is doing great. We are planning to get together this weekend to let them play. Thank you for taking such good care of her and checking in on us. I am hoping she continues to get adjusted to the city more and more. It snowed today and she thought that was the greatest!
It was nice to meet you and your wife!
Take care, Becky

Hi Mike,
I've actually been thinking that I wanted to send you a message, so I'm glad you wrote to me. Please contact me any time, I don't mind at all. I have done dog rescue in the past, so I am rather used to keeping in touch with the person or group from which I have gotten my pets. The girls just love Pippy, and she is spoiled rotten already (by me!). I have already broken my rules, which are no dogs on the leather couch and chair, and no sleeping on the beds! She just loves to cuddle and I'm afraid I'm turning her into a lap dog, which is funny given I'm used to bigger dogs, like German Shepherds. Pippy has found her spot in the house where she likes to sleep and she is protected from the girls, who always are trying to play with her when they can see her. It has taken a few days for her to settle in, but I can tell she is starting to get comfortable now. The first several days she was a bit timid about playing, but not any more! Last night she was racing circles around the living room and throwing some of her toys into the air. It was very funny. I had to take her outside eventually, and chase her around a bit, because she was going to wake up the girls!! She definitely lets you know when she wants attention and I think she uses her barking well. She is also surprisingly good on the leash. I am a runner, and I think I will be able to easily train her to go on shorter runs with me. You are right - they are quick!
She has had a harder time adjusting to the girls than to me. I think she is just not used to kids and all the noise they make. I'm working very hard with the girls on how to approach her and how to behave when Pippy approaches them - Pippy is now coming up to them on her own to sniff them and get pets from them, but hasn't really started playing with them a lot yet. I think it will take her some time to fully adjust to them, but I'm confident she will before too long. Little Julia toddles after Pippy calling her name over and over. It is so very cute. And she gives her her pacifier, which I have seen Pippy carry around in her mouth like she is sucking on it. Since it is small I take it away right away, but it is rather funny. The funny think is that Julia doesn't even really say Mommy, but she says the dog's name. I guess that tells you how I rate :-).
I wanted to thank you for the collar, too. I knew when the guy at the store gave me that one that it was going to be too big. I have to say, I really like the purple, it suits her. And thanks for the food. We have transitioned over a few days to another type and Pippy is doing just fine with it. I have just emptied my camera, so as soon as I take pictures I'll send you some.
I am just so happy with Pippy. You definitely got it right in choosing Leah for Becky and Pippy for a family like mine. I couldn't be happier.-Renee

Dear Mike and Family,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you ever so much for our little Abby. Right now, she’s curled up on my lap quietly sleeping as I type. She’s absolutely adorable in every way! And she has such a wonderful personality—she’s so eager to please. She comes when you call her, has learned to come up steps, and we’ve started leash training her. I even got her to sit a couple times.
I also want to thank you a ton for accommodating her trip. Her plane ride went well. They must’ve taken her out to walk her or something during the layover, because she didn’t have any accidents or anything. She was as fresh as a southern daisy. All of the stewardesses were cooing over her before we left. We have about a five minute video of us picking her up from that airport and her romping in the backyard the next day. I plan on posting that up on YouTube in a couple days, and we’ll send you the link.
And thank you for the collar and puppy toys! The yellow collar with rhinestones is absolutely adorable! It compliments her fine markings wonderfully. And she just loves that Mr. Goodbar squeak toy and her little black and white puppy squeak toy. It’s so cute to see her drag those around and play with them. I got her a rawhide bone from the store, but she appears to prefer the small raw hide strip you sent with her.
We also enjoyed the “Dog Rules of the House”—it was such a hoot. The information on training her that you gave us is also very valuable. It’s a shame that most people don’t realize just how old a puppy needs to be before they are physically capable of doing everything they want them to, and it can totally ruin the training and bonding process that should be occurring at that age.
So far, she’s enjoyed romping in the backyard (including my mother’s flower garden), has been introduced to our little kitty swimming pool (it’s about ten inches high—we got it for the dogs, they love to cool down in it on hot days), and she has begun playing along with my parents’ Scotty and German Sheppard. In July, we will start beginner obedience class (basic things like sit, stay, roll over, and socialization).
Tuesday is her vet appointment, though I sincerely doubt he will find anything wrong with her. She just needs any extra shots for things we have here that you might not have in South Carolina. I will be mailing you the health guarantee before the end of the week.
Thank you once again for everything! Your high quality pup defiantly reflects the hard work and care that goes into your Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Sincerely,
Kristy Gibson
